About Us
OUR STORY
We believe that promoting understanding of basic healthcare topics can have a meaningful impact on our communities. In 2014, Weetherson began delivering leadership and health-related presentations to his peers on campus, later expanding his outreach to youth in Haiti, particularly in rural areas where access to education has long been limited. Many participants have shared that his presentations and training sessions helped dispel long-held superstitions, myths, and stereotypes, offering them a clearer, evidence-based understanding of health and wellness.
When Weetherson decided to pursue a career in nursing in 2013, many were skeptical. As a recipient of the prestigious HELP Excellence Scholarship, others expected him to choose a more traditionally respected or male-dominated field. At the time, nursing in Haiti was often viewed as a profession primarily for women and not widely recognized for its value. His decision challenged these stereotypes and marked the beginning of a journey to elevate the perception of nursing and inspire change.

Our
Mission
WEETNURSE is committed to enhancing the quality of healthcare by equipping professionals with essential training, providing basic education to underserved populations, and creating a knowledge-sharing platform for healthcare professionals to educate and inspire others.
Our motto "knowledge saves lives"
was inspired by countless encounters with individuals who, after receiving vital health information, would often say, "Ou sove lavi m la wi ak enfòmasyon sa," meaning, "You just saved my life with this information." These powerful words reminded us that sharing knowledge, even a single piece of crucial information, can empower someone to make life-saving decisions. At Weetnurse, we believe that education is one of the most effective tools for protecting and preserving life.
